Most damage disputes come down to one question: was the scratch there at pickup? A clear inspection with time-stamped photos and the customer’s signature answers it. Dispatch Autopilot guides the driver through the same steps for every car, so nothing is skipped on a busy day.

How an inspection works

1. VIN: the driver photographs or types the VIN for each vehicle.
2. Photos around the car: the camera shows which shot to take next: front, four corners, rear, keys and odometer, then up to 11 extra photos for close-ups, for up to 20 photos per car.
3. Damage marks: tap the car diagram to mark scratches, dents, chips and other damage with standard codes.
4. Location and time: recorded automatically, and every photo is stamped with the date, time, full street address and GPS coordinates.
5. Signature: the shipper or receiver signs on the phone screen.
6. BOL: the inspection, photos and signature become part of the bill of lading. The broker gets a picked-up email automatically, and at delivery the signed BOL PDF with a link to all photos.
