Rate per loaded mile-
All-in rate per mile-
Profit on this load-
How the calculator works
- Rate per loaded mile = what you keep from the load price after the fee ÷ loaded miles.
- All-in rate per mile = the same money ÷ (loaded miles + empty miles). This is the number that pays your bills, because the truck burns fuel on every mile.
- Profit = money you keep − (all miles × your cost per mile).
Not sure what your cost per mile is? Add up a month of fuel, driver pay, insurance, truck and trailer payments, repairs, tolls and fees, and divide by the miles you drove that month. Read the full guide: what is a good rate per mile for car haulers.
